Surkhandarya: Tourist Information Center opens at the "Ayritom" border checkpoint

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A modern tourist information center with all conditions has been created at the Ayritom border checkpoint (South Gate of Uzbekistan). Guests from the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan enter our country through the Ayritom border customs post in Surkhandarya region.

Last year, about 40 thousand trucks and cars passed through this post, and on average 100-110 cars a day passed customs control and inspection. The checkpoint is equipped with modern control equipment, information technology, vehicles and a number of means for fast customs control and passenger clearance.

The Tourist Information Center established here plays an important role in acquainting visitors with the rich tourism potential of the country and organizations providing services to tourists, as well as in providing various services on site. The innovation center, built by Kabul-Termez LLC at the Southern Gate, contains accurate information about all tourist sites in Uzbekistan, hotels, transport, food and other services. At the center you can use the Paynet service, buy SIM cards, souvenirs and other memorable gifts. A car call service has been launched, including a taxi call service.

“In the past four years, attention to the development of tourism in our country has attracted tourists from all over the world,” said Zafar Namozov, head of the Department for Tourism Development of the Surkhandarya Region. "They get acquainted with the unique historical monuments of our Motherland, unique natural landscapes, healing springs, beautiful places and other attractions. They enjoy the beauty of nature. Accordingly, we attach great importance to receiving a flow of visitors from different countries and providing them with modern services.

For this, the Termez International Airport, the railway station, the only one in the region - the Termez Archaeological Museum, the Termez State Museum-Reserve, tourist information centers, as well as information about tourist sites and service points in the region were posted to raise awareness. The Tourist Information Center at the Ayritom border point will provide visitors with sufficient information about the country. The regional department of tourism development provided the new center with free tourist maps, brochures, flyers in Uzbek and foreign languages.

At the moment, two people with a deep knowledge of foreign languages provide high-quality, fast service in the center, introduce guests to the latest news in the field, additional points of service. In addition, a modern tourist information center will be built this year at the Sariosiyo border point on the border with Tajikistan.
