Interim President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree “On measures on ensuring rapid development of tourism industry in Uzbekistan”.

According to the decree, State Committee on development of tourism of Uzbekistan is authorized state body in the sphere of tourism.

The decree said that State Committee on development of tourism will license tourism operator activates and certifies tourism and hotel services, rendered by companies, engaged in tourism. The committee will also set classification of hotels (motels).

New committee will also conduct inspection control over compliance of certified tourism services to requirements and standards.

The decisions of the State Committee on development of tourism, adopted within its authorities, will be mandatory for execution by state bodies and business entities, local state bodies.
