The document was adopted in line with the law “On openness of the activities of the state bodies and management” and directed to ensure accessibility of state information resources for individuals and legal entities, as well as developing small businesses in Uzbekistan via publication and regular update of demanded open data.
The resolution approved a regulation on open data portal in Uzbekistan, which determines goals and tasks of the portal, interaction of portal operator with data suppliers and portal users.
The portal is created to provide access to open data of the state bodies. The Ministry for Development of Information Technologies and Communication of Uzbekistan is responsible for formation and development of open data prortal.
The state bodies and economic entities, as well as administrations were entrusted to create Open Data section at their website and regularly publish open data. The document said that heads of these organizations are responsible for timely publication of data.
The document said that the open data can be provided in manual or automatic mode by supplier. The supplier should agree terms and frequency of updating of data with the portal operator.
The information on open data should be actual, correct and full and should not include state secrets or other secrets, protected by the legislation.
The data on open portal should be provided in state language, but it can have other language versions.
