Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 20 November 2021, the final events of the Save Aral project will take place on the territory of the Pakhtakor stadium. The goal of the Save Aral races is to draw public attention to measures aimed at mitigating the consequences of the drying up of the Aral Sea and uniting efforts to restore the Aral Sea region.

Ekiden is a cult team relay game in Japan, which is gaining popularity all over the world, including Uzbekistan. The expected number of teams at the event is 50, each team has 6 participants, each stage is 1.5 km, the total duration of ekiden is 9 km. To participate in the ekiden, it is necessary to form a team and register on November 18-19 to receive a form and an individual participant number. Start of pre-launch events on November 20 at 15.00

Save Aral is a massive 3 km race. There are no age or gender restrictions for participants. Registration for individual participation in the Save Aral - 2021 race will be available on the day of the event - November 20. Registration starts at 17.00

Sports equipment (T-shirt, cap, shoulder bag) will be allocated for participants in sports events.

The winners of the races will be awarded with valuable gifts and prizes. 

Organizers: Ministry of Tourism and Sports, Athletics Federation of Uzbekistan, Triathlon Federation of Uzbekistan, with the support of the National Olympic Committee and the khokimiyat of the city of Tashkent.
