Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan is expecting a visit from a delegation of the Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business (K-BIZ) in June this year. This was revealed following a meeting between Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to South Korea, Alisher Abdusalomov, and K-BIZ Chairman Kim Ki-Moon, according to the Dunyo News Agency.

During the meeting, Kim Ki-Moon praised the positive changes in Uzbekistan’s business climate, emphasizing the attractiveness of its investment environment and the simplification of business procedures for foreign companies, including South Korean ones. According to him, this has sparked significant interest among South Korean entrepreneurs.

The parties discussed prospects for deepening trade, economic, and investment cooperation, noting the importance of establishing direct contacts between the business communities of both countries and developing interregional ties.

A key agenda item was the discussion of organizing the K-BIZ delegation’s visit to Uzbekistan in June. The visit is scheduled to coincide with the IV Tashkent International Investment Forum, during which a Uzbekistan-South Korea Business Forum is also planned. It is expected that the visit will be led by the Chairman of the Federation, Kim Ki-Moon himself.

An agreement was reached to intensify joint efforts to present promising investment projects of Uzbekistan to representatives of South Korea’s small and medium-sized businesses. This will help attract new investments and technologies to various sectors of Uzbekistan’s economy.
