The committee said that 59.5% of total registered enterprises work in agriculture sector, 14.3% in trade and catering, 6% industry and 4.2% construction.
About 93% of registered enterprises are non-governmental enterprises, including 55.9% farms, 21% private enterprises, 0.9% enterprises with the foreign investments, 0.4% joint stock companies and 21.8% other businesses.
The committee said 31,200 new enterprises were registered in January-September 2008, of which 16.3% were registered in Tashkent city, 9.9% in Ferghana region, 8.4% in Andijan region and 7.8% in Samarkand region.
About 39% of newly registered enterprises fell to share of agriculture, 23.7% to trade and catering and 11.8% to industry.
