Some 390 houses connected to Uzbektelecom’s FTTB network
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Branch of Tashkent city telecommunication network of Uzbektelecom joint stock company continues to connect subscribers to its FTTB technologies.

According to Uzbekteelcom, over 390 houses were connected to the FTTB network of the operator.

Currently, over 3,287 houses have been connected to the FTTB network, the operator underlined. In 2014, about 915 houses were connected to the operator’s FTTB network.

Uzbekistan started to realize a project on developing optic fibre broadband access with use of FTTx technology with the contract cost of US$6.9 million.

The project is directed at modernizing subscribers communication lines in Tashkent city with installation of broadband data transfer equipment for 69,120 ports. China Development Bank is financing the project.
