Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Six investors have expressed interest in acquiring the International Hotel, according to the Agency for State Assets Management of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
In May 2024, the Agency announced the start of the application process for the acquisition of the hotel. The application deadline was 15 July 2024.
International consulting firm Deloitte is advising the Agency on the privatization of this asset.
The Agency noted that six potential investors from various countries, including Arab countries, East Asia, and Europe, have shown interest in the hotel. All applicants have advanced to the next stage and will each receive individual letters with procedural instructions for preparing non-binding offers.
Non-binding offers will be accepted by the consultant until 19 August 2024, 6:00 PM (Tashkent time).
The International Hotel includes 232 rooms, 7 conference halls, 2 restaurants, bars, an open terrace, and a fitness club with a swimming pool. The total area of the hotel is 45,000 square meters, and the land area is 3 hectares.
The property has a sublicensing agreement with the Accor Group, allowing the use of the Mövenpick brand, as well as the TARS Accor Hotels booking and IT systems.
The buyer selection process will be conducted in three stages: Expression of Interest (EOI), Non-Binding Offer (NBO), and Binding Offer (BO). In the final stage, buyers will be required to make a guarantee payment of at least 1% of the proposed binding offer price.
