Six football clubs in Uzbekistan banned from conducting transfers

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Six football clubs have been banned from conducting transfers due to ignoring the decisions of the Uzbekistan Football Association (UFA) and the Committee on Player Status and Transfers. This was reported by the press service of the Professional Football League.

The sanctions were imposed because of unpaid debts to players and coaches within the established deadlines, as well as violations of cooperation agreements with regional football academies.

Earlier, the UFA gave seven clubs time to address the identified issues. However, only the "Kyzylkum" club managed to meet all the requirements. The remaining clubs — "Sogdiana," "Navbahor," "Neftchi," "Dinamo," "Bukhara," and "Aral" — are now under sanction.

According to the committee's decision, these clubs are prohibited from registering new players both at the national and international levels for two full transfer windows.

It is worth noting that the winter transfer period in Uzbekistan started on 10 December and will end on 25 February 2025.
