Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Six Uzbek citizens were killed in a traffic accident in Mangystau Region, Kazakhstan, according to local law enforcement.
The incident occurred on the Beineu-Tazhen highway, where a Jac passenger car collided with a MAN truck that was parked on the roadside, waiting for its turn to cross the border.
At the time of the collision, there were ten people in the passenger vehicle. As a result of the accident, six individuals died, while four others were hospitalized at the Beineu Central District Hospital.
According to the police and health department of Mangystau Region, all those involved in the accident are Uzbek citizens, with the hospitalized victims being in moderate condition.
The Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Aktau has been informed of the incident.
A pre-trial investigation into the accident is underway, and efforts are being made to clarify all the details of the tragedy.
