Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 16 February, the fourth plane of the regional airline Silk Avia landed at Tashkent International Airport.
According to tradition, the aircraft was solemnly greeted with a water arch. On the platform, the board and crew were met by representatives of Uzbekistan Airports, Uzbekistan Airways, Uzbekistan Helicopters, Silk Avia, as well as journalists and air-spotters.
The new ATR 72-600 aircraft arrived at the capital’s airport from the ATR plant in Toulouse (France), having made a technical stop in Istanbul (Turkey). In the coming days, the plane will be “dressed” in a branded livery and will begin performing regular flights.
Silk Avia is a domestic regional low-cost airline with headquarters in Tashkent, which began flights on 25 April 2023.
