Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev presented French President Emmanuel Macron with the first copy of the Uzbek edition of Victor Hugo’s renowned novel The Man Who Laughs.

According to the press service of the Uzbek leader, the book was handed over to President Macron during their high-level meeting at the Élysée Palace in Paris.

This symbolic gift underscores the importance of cultural dialogue and the strengthening of humanitarian ties between Uzbekistan and France.

The novel is set to be released to the public soon, making it accessible to a wide readership.
