Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 27 August, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation led by Natalia Kochanova, Chair of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus, who arrived in Uzbekistan on an official visit.

The meeting focused on discussing further development of multilateral relations between Uzbekistan and Belarus, including the strengthening of interparliamentary cooperation.

At the beginning of the conversation, Natalia Kochanova conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko to the Uzbek President.

President Mirziyoyev expressed satisfaction with the active development of bilateral cooperation, noting the enhancement of contacts and exchanges in line with agreements reached at the highest level in February of this year.

The increase in trade volume, successful implementation of industrial cooperation projects, activation of interregional business partnerships, and the regular conduct of cultural and humanitarian programs were highlighted.

The results of joint events held by the parliaments of the two countries in Tashkent, including meetings in the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan and the second Women’s Business Forum, were highly praised.

The importance of continuing an intensive interparliamentary dialogue aimed at advancing specific cooperation projects in areas such as trade, industry, agriculture, education, healthcare, and other priority sectors was emphasized.
