Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a phone conversation with taekwondo athlete Ulugbek Rashitov and boxer Hasanboy Dusmatov, who recently won gold medals at the Paris Olympics, becoming two-time Olympic champions in their respective weight categories.

The President warmly congratulated the athletes and expressed great satisfaction with the historic achievement of the Uzbek team, which secured two gold medals in a single day. 

He highlighted the athletes’ bold and confident performances, their high skill and courage, which serve as examples of true heroism and demonstrate the potential of the youth of New Uzbekistan. He also expressed his gratitude to their coaches, parents, and loved ones.

Ulugbek Rashitov and Hasanboy Dusmatov sincerely thanked the President for his special attention and high trust, as well as for the excellent conditions provided for the athletes, stating that they dedicate their victories to New Uzbekistan.
