Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Vladimir Putin Discuss Strengthening Strategic Partnership and Alliance
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 8 August, a telephone conversation took place between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin.
During the conversation, key issues of bilateral cooperation and pressing topics on the international agenda were discussed.
The Russian President informed about the results of negotiations with the special envoy of the US President, Stephen Witkoff, which took place on August 6 in Moscow.
The parties focused on practical aspects of further developing and strengthening Uzbek-Russian relations within the framework of a comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance, including the implementation of agreements reached at the highest level.
Special importance was attached to joint efforts to stimulate growth in mutual trade and investment cooperation, accelerate the implementation of cooperative projects in priority sectors of the economy, as well as continue active dialogue, business, and humanitarian exchanges at the regional level.
Additionally, the leaders of the two states discussed the schedule of upcoming meetings and joint events.
