Fund Forum said that earlier Chinese side handed over 268 books of famous authors and manuals within the programme “Window to Shanghai”.

Director of Shanghai Library Wu Jianzhong said that this is important contribution to expansion of knowledge of Shanghai public with Uzbekistan, its history, culture, traditions and customs.

Shanghai Library will allocate special stand to Uzbekistan and plans to create catalogue of the books. Wu Jianzhong noted that handed over books will be success among the visitors of the exhibition. Some 7,000-8,000 people visit the library each day.

It is expected that Shanghai Library plans to make Uzbek books in electronic form.

Fund Forum said that Chinese Library handed over such books as “Tashkent. History of the city”, “Civilizations, States and Cultures of Central Asia”, “Masterpieces of Architectural Epigraphy in Uzbekistan”, “Book-catalogue of Akmal Nur’s Painting”, “Fund Forum presents: Uzbekistan”, etc.

Fund Forum noted that Chinese side is planning to hand over another arty of Chinese books to Uzbekistan in 2014. The books will be selected by the Uzbek experts.
