Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Shahar Peer of Israel was among the second- round winners Wednesday at the Guangzhou Women’s Open.

The fifth-seeded Peer cruised to a 6-3, 6-3 win over Uzbekistan’s Akgul Amanmuradova.

In the first round, World No. 122 Akgul Amanmuradova defeated Rika Fujiwara of Japan in straight sets - 6/3 and 6/2.
