Several project on inclusive education to be held in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Social Initiatives Support Fund (SISF) in cooperation with partner organizations will held several projects dedicated to support and develop inclusive education in Uzbekistan in April-May 2012.

Among these projects are football competition, master classes with children and athletes with limited abilities from 2 to 28 April across Uzbekistan, videoconference on 25 April in all regions of Uzbekistan and international conference “Role of family in development of uninterrupted inclusive education” in Tashkent on 8 May. Over 5,000 people will participate at the event.

Within the project “Uninterrupted inclusive education in Uzbekistan, the SISF and UNESCO Office in Uzbekistan, Ministry of Public Education, Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education, Ministry of Culture and Sport Affairs, Special Olympics of Uzbekistan, National Paralympics Association in Uzbekistan will hold football competitions across the country on 2-28 April. People with limited abilities will participated at the competition. It is also planned to organize competitions on judo, athletics, etc.

Fourteen teams, which won regional stages, will participate in final stage in Tashkent on 7-10 May 2012. Central Asian teams are also invited to the tournament. Number of competition participants will make up 3,000.

On 25 April, video conference “Role of family in development of uninterrupted inclusive education” will be held and it will connect six Uzbek universities. Teachers, students and representatives of education ministries will participate at the work of the conference. The event will attract 2,000 people.

On 8 May, the international conference “Role of family in development of uninterrupted inclusive education” will take place at InterContinental Hotel. The conference is aimed at creating dialogue and social partnership in development of educational policy and strategy on achievement of full coverage of social vulnerable population, ensure their rights to education and integration to the society, from joint strategy on inclusive education, etc.

Some 250 people will participate at the conference, including experts from the United State, Belgium, Great Britain, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and other states, international organizations and business structures.
