Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – A fatal road traffic accident occurred in Urgut district of Samarkand region.

The accident happened on 29 July at around 12:30 PM on the fifth kilometer of the road in the "Khojaguzar" mahalla of Urgut district.

A 21-year-old driver of a Cobalt lost control and drove into the oncoming lane, where he collided with a Damas driven by a 33-year-old local resident.

As a result of the collision, the driver and a passenger of the Damas died at the scene. Another passenger of the Damas died in the hospital.

Two other passengers of the Damas and the driver of the Cobalt were hospitalized with injuries.

A criminal case has been initiated regarding this incident.
