Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- At least seven passengers have been killed and 24 injured when a New Delhi-bound train derailed in India’s eastern state of Bihar.
Eleven coaches of the Seemanchal Express derailed near Sahadai Buzurg railway station early on Sunday morning.
According to a statement released by Indian Railways, a "rail fracture" caused the accident.
ANI agency reported that cash compensation of almost US$7,000 would be paid to the relatives of those killed. The persons, who were seriously injured, will get US$1,400 and with minor injuries – US$700.
Indian railway company will also cover medical expenses.
