Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The fifty-sixth plenary session of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan will take place on 28 August, the press service of the upper house of parliament announced.

The most recent meeting of the Senate Council of the Oliy Majlis, chaired by Tanzila Narbayeva, resulted in a resolution to convene the fifty-sixth plenary session of the Senate on August 28 of this year.

It was noted that the session will be held in a video conference format and will address several important issues.

Among the bills to be discussed are the "Establishment of the Honorary Title ‘Honored Entrepreneur of the Republic of Uzbekistan’" and the "Amendments and Additions to the Criminal Code, the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the Code of Administrative Responsibility of the Republic of Uzbekistan, aimed at preserving and protecting land and subsoil resources."

Additionally, the session will consider bills on "Amendments and Additions to Certain Legislative Acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Ensure the Powers of Prosecutors in Court Proceedings" and "Amendments and Additions to Certain Legislative Acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Facilitate the Collection of Utility Payments through the Courts."

Moreover, the agenda for the plenary session includes laws on amendments and additions to other legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The session will also discuss the approval of resolutions of the Senate Council of the Oliy Majlis.
