Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During the second Inter-Parliamentary Forum of Central Asian States, the Chairwoman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbaeva held bilateral meetings with the heads of the parliaments of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan.
The meetings underscored that the achievements in the region are undoubtedly the result of the efforts of the heads of states to strengthen cooperation.
The discussions also addressed the enrichment of inter-parliamentary relations with new content, the effective use of parliamentary oversight in implementing agreements reached at the highest level.
There was a recognition of the need to further enhance the effectiveness of inter-parliamentary friendship groups and cooperation committees.
Additionally, an agreement was reached on improving the legal framework for key areas of cooperation between the countries of the region and establishing mutual exchange of experience between local representative bodies.
