“Sen Yolg’iz Emassan” collects over 25 tonnes of humanitarian aid
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- “Sen Yolg’iz Emassan” (You are not alone) collected over 25 tonnes of humanitarian aid on 17 June. Оver 350 people brought clothes, hygiene assets, diapers, medicals and food, such as oil, cereals, rice, tinned meat and others.

People of various ages, nations and professions are among those, who have compassion over the grief of absolutely unfamiliar people, who are at the camps for refugees in Uzbek regions bordering with Kyrgyzstan. Many people who came to bring something stayed then to provide assistance as volunteers. Many people came multiple times during a day.

“These people are suffering, being in a very difficult situation. I could not stay indifferent to this – I took warm blankets, bought sugar, water and came here”, contributors said.

In Uzbek region of Andijan, which borders with Kyrgyzstan, special camps were set up to host over 100,000 refugees accepted by Uzbekistan. On 15 June, “You are not alone” charity directed to the camps for refugees its first humanitarian cargo weighting 120 tones and comprising of food, water, medicals and blankets. The charity volunteers are already at places, rendering necessary assistance to refugees.

For those who wish to render humanitarian assistance, the charity launched a hot line, helping to deliver necessary things (antibiotics, hygiene and sanitation goods for women and children, blankets, closes for children and others) from Tashkent to the camps of refugees.
