Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Government of Uzbekistan has approved the Regulations on the selection process and the submission of documents for nomination for the Zulfiya State Prize.
This document outlines the criteria and process for selection, documentation, and evaluation of the candidates’ achievements in scientific, creative, and practical activities.
Candidates can participate in the competition across eight categories: science, education, literature, culture, art, sports, information technology, and public activity. The prize is awarded to talented girls and women aged 14 to 30 for outstanding achievements in studies and work, as well as for active public engagement.
The competition is conducted in several stages:
- District (city) stage — from 2 September to 20 October.
- Stage in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regions, and the city of Tashkent — from 21 October to 30 November.
- Republican stage — from 1 December to 31 December.
Each year, the prize is awarded to two nominees from each region, the Republic of Karakalpakstan, and the city of Tashkent, totaling 28 laureates.
The winners receive a diploma, a badge, and a monetary prize amounting to 50 times the base calculation amount (BCA) at a ceremonial event dedicated to International Women’s Day on 8 March.
