The document was inked within the Council of Heads of Member States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Tashkent.

The document envisages expansion and development of equal and mutually beneficial multilateral cooperation in the field of tourism in order to create on the basis of the prevailing cultural, historical and economic ties in common tourist space and in the interests of the intensification of tourist exchanges.

The agreement also directed at increasing revenue, generated from tourism, and creating new jobs in the SCO area.
