The ministry said that the Council of national coordinators of the SCO member states was held in Beijing on 25-28 January 2011.

During the meeting, the SCO member stated supported initiative of Kazakh side on holding the SCO summit on 15 June 2011 in Astana. The 10th jubilee summit will be dedicated to foundation of the organization.

SCO has been founded in 2011 on initiative of China, Russia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyz Republic and Uzbekistan. The main tasks of the regional organization is to strengthen stability and security in the member states, fighting terrorism, separatism, extremism, illegal drug turnover, development of economic and energy partnership, scientific and cultural dialogue.
