SCO Prime Ministers to hold meeting in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The twelfth session of the Council of the heads of the governments of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) will be held in Tashkent on 29 November 2013, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said.

Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Serih Ahmetov, Premier of the State Council of China Li Keqiang, Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Jantoro Satibaldiev, Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev, Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kohir Rasulzoda, Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyayev, SCO Secretary General Dmitry Mezentsev, Director of the Executive Committee of the Regional anti-terrorist structure (RATS) Zhang Sinfen, chairpersons of the SCO Business Council and SCO Inter-banking Union will attend the summit.

Representatives of the observer states of the SCO – Second Vice President of Afghanistan Karim Halili, First Deputy Minister of External Affairs of India Sujatha Singh, Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran Mohammadreza Nematzadeh, Adviser of Prime Minister of Pakistan on Foreign Affairs and National Security Sartaj Aziz, as well as representatives of international partner organizations – Executive Secretary of UN ESCAP Noeleen Heyzer, Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN Nyan Lynn and chairperson of the Executive Committee – Executive Secretary of CIS Sergey Lebedev will also participate in the event.

The SCO Prime Ministers will consider reports on execution of the decisions of the Councils of the heads of the states and the Council of the heads of the governments of the SCO on development and measures on further developing trade-economic and humanitarian cooperation in the organization, as well as activities of the Business Council and Inter-banking Union of the SCO.

Within the session, it is planned to sign a joint communiqué and other documents.
