Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Serih Ahmetov, Premier of the State Council of China Li Keqiang, Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Jantoro Satibaldiev, Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev, Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kohir Rasulzoda, Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyayev, SCO Secretary General Dmitry Mezentsev, Director of the Executive Committee of the Regional anti-terrorist structure (RATS) Zhang Sinfen, chairpersons of the SCO Business Council and SCO Inter-banking Union are attending the summit.
Representatives of the observer states of the SCO – Second Vice President of Afghanistan Karim Halili, First Deputy Minister of External Affairs of India Sujatha Singh, Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran Mohammadreza Nematzadeh, Adviser of Prime Minister of Pakistan on Foreign Affairs and National Security Sartaj Aziz, as well as representatives of international partner organizations – Executive Secretary of UN ESCAP Noeleen Heyzer, Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN Nyan Lynn and chairperson of the Executive Committee – Executive Secretary of CIS Sergey Lebedev are also participating at the session.
The agenda of the meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Council of Heads of Government (prime ministers) includes issues of strengthening economic, trade and cultural cooperation between the member countries.
The prime ministers will discuss the implementation of the Programme for Multilateral Trade and Economic Cooperation Between the SCO Member States and the List of Measures for Further Development of Project Activities within the SCO for 2012-2016.
Following the meeting, a joint communiqué and a series of decisions will be approved on the administrative and financial aspects of the SCO activity. On the sidelines of the meeting, an agreement will be signed between the SCO member states on the creation of favourable conditions for international automobile transportation.
Bilateral meetings between Dmitry Medvedev and other SCO prime ministers are also scheduled.
