"During the meeting, we approved SCO members’ cooperation program for fight against terrorism, extremism and separatism in 2010-2012. Draft convention on combating terrorism was discussed and approved," Federal Security Service First Deputy Director Sergey Smirnov said after the 14th meeting of the SCO RATS Council held in Tashkent. The meeting was attended by representatives of China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
Smirnov said that once domestic procedures are completed the draft convention on combating terrorism will be sent to heads of the SCO member countries to be considered at their regular meeting.
