Schoolgirl organized her “kidnapping” to attract attention of parents

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 29 January, an anxious father of 13-year-old Oykiz B., Umid G. appealed to the Department of Internal Affairs of Mirabad district and said her daughter had not returned home after school.

According to the police department of Tashkent, at 15.00, an SMS message was sent to the girl’s mother’s mobile phone: “If you want to see your daughter, bring the amount that I’ll tell you, or you will not see it anymore” (punctuation is preserved).

As a result of operational-search activities, the officers of the Main Directorate of Internal Affairs established the whereabouts of the minor. Oykiz was found in the area near Chilanzar metro station. It turned out that nobody kidnapped Oykiz: the girl herself “planned and organized her abduction”.

Oykiz explained that in this way she just wanted to attract the attention of her parents, which she lacks so much. And the girl confessed that she wanted to give money to the needy people.
