Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Ministry of Public Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan studied the situation of forcing teachers to subscribe to periodicals in secondary school No. 10 of Yangiyul district of Tashkent region, the press service of the Ministry said.
During the study, it was revealed that the principle of this school, Shavkatzhon Rizzaev, announced that teachers would receive salaries in cash in January, and forced them to subscribe to periodicals.
The control and legal service of the Minister of Public Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan has already drawn attention to the principle’s misconduct. The head of the school was reprimanded under part 1 of article 181 of the Labor Code of Uzbekistan for the fact that at the end of December 2018 the school teachers were involved in the work of drawing up lists of population. And this does not apply to their direct duties.
The principal did not draw conclusions from this and in January 2019 forced the teachers to subscribe to 8 magazines.
According to the order of the head of the Tashkent regional department of public education, the employment agreement with the principle has been terminated.
