Current state and perspectives of bilateral and multilateral cooperation, several significant issues of regional and international politics have been discussed at the meeting, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said.

It was noted that this meeting supports enhancement of the Uzbek-British dialogue, which includes regular contacts between the parliaments of the two countries, consultations between the ministries of foreign affairs, joint business-forums, involving new participants and spheres into the mutually beneficial trade, economic and investment cooperation.

Cultural and humanitarian exchanges play an important role in our relations as demonstrated in prolific activities of the Westminster International University in Tashkent and British Council projects in our country.

The parties expressed their confidence in successful development of relations between Uzbekistan and the United Kingdom in all spheres and corroborated their endeavour to give our relations a new pace.
