Savitsky Museum gets ancient coins
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Archeological branch of the Karakalpak State Art Museum named after Savitsky received a small collection of silver coins, which earlier belonged to famous numismatist B. Saypanov

All 90 coins were minted in Khorezm region in the second half of 18th and the middle of 19th centuries. Each coin is made from 2.275 grams of silve, Pravda Vostoka said.

All coins are in good condition. The coins are in seven types and have similar design. It is expected that coins will allow to study political, economic and ethnic history of the region.
