Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Cambridge International University (CIU) in Tashkent and SAP, the global leader in the enterprise application market, have announced a collaboration within the framework of the University Alliance.

The university will conduct academic research and teach a range of academic disciplines using SAP products. A memorandum of cooperation at the SAP NOW business conference in Tashkent was signed by CIU Tashkent First Vice-Rector Dilmurod Sharifof and SAP Uzbekistan Managing Director Laziz Adkhamov.

CIU will join the community of over 3,100 of the world’s leading universities in the educational program. The University will have the opportunity to train students, improve the qualifications of teachers and prepare scientific papers using the best world practices accumulated by SAP.

“SAP is actively investing in IT education. For example, we recently launched a new 2-month SAP S/4HANA training program. It includes, among other things, the development of practical skills in the system. Our main goal is to make IT technologies truly accessible to students, so that when they enter a competitive market, they can work with any innovative solutions. And not only work, but also help companies improve their business processes and create new scenarios using the best world practices,” said Laziz Adkhamov, Managing Director of SAP Uzbekistan.

“CIU strives to achieve the highest level of intellectual excellence. Our vision is to become a global center for education, innovation, research, achievement, discovery and learning. Thus, we can be a popular and recognized university not only in Uzbekistan, but also beyond its borders,” said Dilmurod Sharifof, Vice-Rector of CIU Tashkent.

The SAP University Alliance is SAP’s global academic program, unparalleled worldwide in terms of format and scope.
