SamAuto, Uzbek producer of buses and lorries, supplied first 100 buses to Samarkand transportation companies.

According to Uzbek TV reports, the administrations of Samarkand city and Samarkand region initiated purchase of buses with assistance of local firm. Buses will be used in transportation of local population.

It is expected that Samarkand firms will receive another 150 buses soon, the reports said.

The Uzbek company assembles small buses based on the imported chassis of Isuzu Motors and sell them under the company’s brand in Uzbekistan.

The plant assembles two types of buses and new modifications of lorries under a license from the Japanese company. This year the plant will produce 1,500 buses.

The plant will start produce buses and lorries in full capacity in near future. The capacity of the plant is 4,000 buses and lorries a year.
