Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan has started working on a document that proposes changes to the boundaries of the city of Samarkand.
The proposal from the Cabinet of Ministers involves transferring 170 hectares of land from the Samarkand district and 243 hectares from the Akdarya district.
As a result, the city’s territory could increase by 413 hectares.
Currently, parliament deputies are actively working on the preparation of the draft law and resolution, which will be discussed within the political party factions. The final versions of these documents are still under development.
