Sales of products from Uzbekistan at Wildberries increased to 12.7 billion rubles in the 1st half of 2023

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- An international online platform Wildberries sums up the work in Uzbekistan in the first half of 2023. Sales of local products grew by 59% year-on-year, and the speed of delivery of orders to residents of the country increased 2.5 times since the beginning of the year.

Between January and June 2023 Wildberries actively developed partnerships with local entrepreneurs and manufacturers of local products. More and more business representatives from Uzbekistan are entering the online segment - the number of registered sellers on the platform has increased by 1.5 times year on year.

Since the beginning of the year, the online platform has launched a support program for sellers planning to start their own business with Wildberries. The program includes: simplified registration on the portal and a reduction in the guarantee fee to 10,000 rubles. The amount of the contribution can be used for advertising promotion of goods, which is especially important given the launch of the functionality of the advertising account "VB Promotion". The program also launched a series of webinars for local businesses with experts from the WIldberries business school.

In partnership with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, the company launched training sessions and webinars on working with the online platform software and managing customer service for sellers and owners of partner points of issue. This initiative is of an information and educational nature and is aimed at helping partners effectively manage their business account and increase sales in the online segment.

For owners of points of issue of orders, the support program includes an increase in payments to partners when opening new points in the country. The increased tariff in the priority zone is 4.04% of the turnover of the pickup point. This will allow you to quickly recoup your investment and continue to develop business for buyers.

Wildberries continues to expand its logistics business in Uzbekistan. In the first half of 2023, the first logistics center in the country was launched. The network of points for issuing orders is also expanding, since the launch of sales in the countries in February 2022. the total number of own and partner pickup points increased to 69 points. However, from the beginning of 2023. Most pick-up points also receive goods. Thanks to this, the speed of delivery of goods to residents of the country has increased by 2.5 times since the beginning of the year and is from 5 days, which also allows entrepreneurs to reduce logistics costs.

The active development of the company’s infrastructure in Uzbekistan allowed entrepreneurs to significantly increase the volume of exports of locally produced goods to the CIS countries. Thus, the dynamics of sales of locally produced goods on the platform grew in Armenia by 246% yoy, in Kyrgyzstan the growth was 118% yoy, in Belarus (+138%). Sales volume in Russia grew by 57% year-on-year compared to the same period last year.

Products manufactured in Uzbekistan are becoming more and more popular on the platform, which operates in 7 countries of the world: their sales increased by 59% year-on-year to 12.7 billion rubles.

The largest sales volumes on the platform were shown by goods in the segments: clothing, goods for children and for the home, as well as consumer goods (FMCG): groceries, cosmetics and personal care products. Hypoallergenic bath towels and bedding sets from the NEFERTITI brand, cotton pajamas for the whole family and locally produced linen suits for children from the Pumbie brand became the hit of sales.
