Saidov and Rubio discuss reforms and security in Central Asia
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov met with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio in Washington.
During the talks, the two sides reviewed the current state and future prospects of the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and the United States, according to Uzbek Foreign Ministry.
Particular emphasis was placed on strengthening political dialogue, boosting economic and investment cooperation, expanding regional collaboration, and ensuring stability and security in Central Asia.
“We highly value the strong support of the reforms underway in Uzbekistan by the United States. An agreement was reached to maintain the positive momentum in Uzbek-American relations through continued high-level dialogue and enhanced practical cooperation within the framework of the strategic partnership,” Saidov noted on his Telegram channel.
