Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – Saidaziz Saydaliev, known as "Saidaziz Medgordok," has been sentenced to 20 years in prison.
The decision was made by the Yunusabad District Court for Criminal Cases in Tashkent on 5 August.
Saydaliev and 28 others were detained in December 2023 on charges of extortion. They were accused of obtaining financial gains through extortion and "solving" people’s debt problems.
Saydaliev was charged with multiple offenses under the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan, including extortion, fraud, organizing a criminal community, money laundering, hooliganism, and complicity in bribery. The defendant partially admitted guilt.
The court found him guilty and sentenced him to 20 years in a general regime penal colony.
