Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Sahid Hotels & Resorts (Indonesia) plans to construct several hotels in Uzbekistan, the State Committee for Tourism Development of Uzbekistan said.

Employees of Pilgrimage Tourism Department of the State Committee for Tourism Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan held meetings with representatives of Sahid Hotels & Resorts in Jakarta, Indonesia.

During the meeting, the sides reached agreement that Sahid Hotels & Resorts plans to construct hotels in Bukhara and Samarkand.

The company plans to build a hotel complex from 100 to 200 rooms in front of the mausoleum of Imam al-Bukhari.

At the same time, Haji & Umrah Sahid Tour, which is also part of the Sahid Hotels & Resorts, is interested in development of pilgrimage tourism in Uzbekistan. The company plans to create a special tour package, which will include visits to the mausoleum of Imam al-Bukhari and the memorial complex of Naqshbandi.
