Rustam Kurganbaev became the Consul General of Uzbekistan in Rostov-on-Don. Prior to that, he served as Deputy Director of the Consular and Legal Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.
The consular district of the Consulate General in Rostov-on-Don includes the North Caucasus Federal District (the Republic of Dagestan, the Republic of Ingushetia, the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic, the Karachay-Cherkess Republic, the Republic of North Ossetia, the Stavropol Territory, the Chechen Republic,) and the Southern Federal District Of Russia (Republic of Adygea, Astrakhan Region, Volgograd Region, Republic of Kalmykia, Krasnodar Territory, Rostov Region).
