Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A meeting with representatives of the Russian company Mebeletto was held at the Uzcharmsanoat Association.
The discussions focused on the prospects of supplying natural and artificial leather from Uzbekistan for use in furniture production.
Mebeletto, based in Saint Petersburg, specializes in manufacturing metal-frame furniture for preschools, schools, government institutions, and service sectors. Previously, the company used Italian leather in its production but is now shifting its focus to importing leather products from Uzbekistan.
The representatives of Mebeletto highlighted the high quality and competitive pricing of natural and artificial leather produced by Uzbek manufacturers.
During the talks, an agreement was reached to organize meetings with leading Uzbek producers, including Ulkan-Laziz, Sam Sunniy Deri, and Sanfa Leather, to establish cooperative ties.
Additionally, the parties discussed plans to set up a trade house for Ulkan-Laziz in Saint Petersburg. This trade house will enable Russian companies to purchase Uzbek leather products in smaller batches, thus expanding the market for Uzbek goods in Russia.
