Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Russian banks will allow to transfer money to CIS countries by phone number.
According to Izvestia, this function is now available to clients of Tinkov and Sberbanks. Next year the system is planned to be launched by Unistream, DOM.RF and MKB.
The Central Bank of the Russian Federation is developing its own similar service based on the Fast Payments System, according to Sputnik.
The banks note that this function will become popular among labor migrants in Russia.
Representatives of Sber said in an interview with the publication that transfers by phone number are already going from Russia to Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
