The Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan and United Nations Development Programme “Public Finance Reform in Uzbekistan” project organized the event.

The event was aimed at discussing actual problems of accounting and audit in condition of overcoming consequences of global financial-economic crisis.

Accounting and audit system reflects all processes in economy and discloses information, required to adoption of decisions. Overcoming consequences of global financial-economic crisis requires a special responsibility to quality and reliability of accounting and audit.

Participants discussed further ways of improving national standards of accounting and audit in Uzbekistan. Improvement of accounting and audit systems will help to provide information for foreign investors and stimulation of capital investments into economy of Uzbekistan, further development of real sector and growth of employment level and income of population.

The event also considered issues of reflecting expenses connected with loans in Uzbekistan in context of global financial-economic crisis, role and importance of Code of Professional Ethics of Auditors in improving quality of audit services, etc.
