Romania and Belgium advance to the playoffs from Group E

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- The matches of the third round in Group E at Euro 2024 have concluded.

Belgium played a goalless draw against Ukraine. The national teams of Slovakia and Romania also played to a 1-1 draw.

In the 24th minute, Slovakian midfielder Ondrej Duda opened the scoring with a header after a pass from midfielder Juraj Kucka. In the 37th minute, Romanian midfielder Razvan Marin equalized from a penalty kick, awarded for a foul on his compatriot Ianis Hagi — resulting in a 1-1 scoreline.

After three matches in Group E of Euro 2024, all teams have accumulated the same number of points — four each. Romania (4:3) and Belgium (2:1), with a positive goal difference, secured the top two spots. 

Slovakia (3:3) finished third, while Ukraine, with a negative goal difference (2:4), ended at the bottom of the group standings.
