Revenue of Beeline in Uzbekistan falls by 3% in 1H
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Revenue of Beeline in Uzbekistan fell by 6% year-on-year in the second quarter of 2016– to US$164 million, Vimpelcom Ltd said in its statement.

At the same time, the revenue of the operator in soums made up 479 billion soums in the second quarter of 2016, which rose by 8.37% compared to the second quarter of 2015.

The revenue in mobile communication segment made up US$164 million in the second quarter of 2016 against US$174 million in the same period of 2015.

The revenue from data transfer in the reporting made up US$32.3 million, which fell by 4.44% compared to the second quarter of 2015.

At the same time, the operator’s revenue decreased by 3% in the first half of 2016 and reached US$329 million. The revenue of the operator in soums grew by 11% in the first half of 2016 – to 947 billion soums.

EBITDA (Operating Income before Depreciation and Amortization) in Uzbekistan made up US$94 million in the second quarter of 2016, which fell by 17% compared to the same period of 2015.

At the same time margin of transactions fell by 2.8 percentage points to 61.5% in the second quarter of 2016.

Beeline subscribers’ base in Uzbekistan by the end of the second quarter of 2016 made up 9.9 million people, which decreased by 9% year-on-year. Number of users of data transfer services fell to 4.3 million subscribers in 2015 (-13%).

Average bill for a mobile subscriber per month (ARPU) made up 16,720 soums in the second quarter of 2016, which grew by 19% compared to the second quarter of 2016.

Indicator MOU (minutes of use) reached 522 minutes in the second quarter of 2016 compared with 553 minutes in the second quarter of 2015 (-6%).
