Retail trade turnover of trade enterprises rose by 32.7% year-on-year to 2.157 trillion soums, which made up 31.7% in total retail trade turnover in the reporting period. The retail trade turnover of trade enterprises in the rural area was 28.3% of total turnover of trade enterprises.

The sale of agricultural products and livestock in dekhkan markets increased by 9.8% and reached 2.81 trillion soums, which made up 41.3% of total retail trade turnover.

Turnover of the informal sector (commodity and specialized markets) reached 1.84 trillion soums in nine month of 2007 or increased by 17.9% year-on-year. The share of the informal sector in the total volume of goods turnover was 27%.

In January-September 2007, the share of food products in the structure of retail trade turnover was 49.7% and non-food products - 50.3%.

Turnover of catering organizations comprised 161.4 billion soums in January-September 2007 or increased by 30.4% year-on-year.

Retail trade turnover, including turnover of catering organizations, per capita increased from 201,100 soums in January-September 2006 to 253,200 soums. The growth rate made up 16.8% year-on-year.
