Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 7 September 2019, representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the Netherlands took part in the annual Festival of Embassies in The Hague, demonstrating the tourism potential of our country at a special stand.
At the festival, diplomatic missions of 67 countries were presented. With the assistance of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and the Hunarmand Association, Uzbekistan was represented by an exhibition of artisan products.
Shakhnoza Nazirova from Tashkent presented designer clothes from silk and cotton fabrics atlas, adras and ikat, Abdulbosid Isokzhanov from Namangan - products from silk, suzane, designer jackets, leather handbags, and Feruza Kurbanova from the capital - silk scarves, handmade wooden caskets, various accessories for girls, including silver earrings and necklaces made in the national style.
The event demonstrated videos on the tourism potential of Uzbekistan, including videos on Tashkent, Namangan, Samarkand, Bukhara, Karakalpakstan and other regions, cities, national cuisine, and the development of handicrafts.
Festival visitors expressed great interest in Uzbekistan, opportunities for visiting the country and warmly welcomed the measures taken to create the necessary conditions for foreign tourists. Of particular interest was the lack of need for Dutch citizens to obtain entry visas for tourist trips to the republic.
