Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A regional meeting on the development of payment systems of national banks in the countries of Central Asia and Azerbaijan was held in the capital of Kazakhstan, Astana, the press service of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan reports.
The event was attended by representatives of the Central Banks of Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
During the meeting, the development of the payment sector, main trends, as well as issues of integration of fast payment systems of the participating countries were discussed, so that in the future, affordable cross-border money transfers could be implemented on this basis.
The parties also exchanged experience and outlined further steps to expand cooperation and interaction in the development of national payment infrastructures.
