Representatives of Tajikistan’s Committee on Tourism Development visit Samarkand

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 15-17 March, Tajikistan delegation consisting of representatives of the Committee on Tourism Development under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan visited Samarkand.

The visit is aimed at exchange of experience between the two countries of gradual development of tourism, as well as familiarization with activities carried out in Samarkand region’s tourism industry.

Tourism potential of Samarkand, activities carried out in Uzbekistan in tourism, new laws, as well as activities for certification of guides and others were presented.

During the visit, guests visited Khazrati Khizr complex, monument to the First President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov, as well as Amir Temur mausoleum, Registan square in Samarkand and Imam al-Bukhari complex in Payaryk district of Samarkand region.
